Statement by the National Space Society on Death of Bob Hope

The space movement lost another advocate and longtime friend with the death of entertainer Bob Hope.  Hope served as a member of the Board of Governors of the National Space Society for more many years, alongside such space supporters as Jacques Cousteau, John Denver and Gene Roddenberry. “NSS joins the world in mourning his passing,” said NSS Executive Director Brian Chase,”and expresses its appreciation for his long service in helping to move this planet towards a spacefaring civilization.”
