SpaceX to Launch ORBCOMM Satellites | Pad Visit
SpaceX is targeted to launch ORBCOMM’s OG2 Mission 1 on Saturday May 10, 2014 from SpaceX’s Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral.
Media are invited to the launch site to set up remote cameras and take photos of the vehicle the evening of May 9. Unfortunately no interviews will be possible at this time. Interested media should meet at the Pass & ID Building outside Gate 1 of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station no later than 5:15 pm ET to board a bus to the launch site. Please RSVP to hannah.post@spacex.com by 5:00pm ET on May 8 if you plan to attend.
The first possible launch opportunity for ORBCOMM OG2 Mission 1 is May 10, with a backup launch opportunity on May 11. Six ORBCOMM Generation 2 (OG2) satellites will launch aboard an upgraded Falcon 9 rocket from SpaceX’s Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral. A full mission press kit is attached.
