Space Science Update: Chandra Sees the Unseen, Reveals Universe Secrets

The results of the most thorough X-ray survey ever taken
of the universe, courtesy of NASA’s Chandra X-Ray
Observatory, will be revealed during a Space Science Update
at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 in the James E. Webb Auditorium
at NASA Headquarters, 300 E St., SW, Washington, DC.

The Space Science Update panelists will be:

* Alan Bunner, Science Director, Structure and Evolution of
the Universe, NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC

* Ricardo Giacconi, President of Associated Universities,
Washington, DC, and a Research Professor at Johns Hopkins
University, Baltimore, MD

* Ann Hornschemeier, a 4th year Ph.D. student in Astronomy
and Astrophysics, Pennsylvania State University, University
Park

* Colin Norman, Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Johns
Hopkins University

* Bruce Margon, Professor of Astronomy, University of
Washington, Seattle

The Space Science Update will be carried live on NASA
Television with two-way question-and-answer capability for
reporters covering the briefing from NASA centers. NASA
Television is broadcast on satellite GE-2, transponder 9C, at
85 degrees West longitude, vertical polarization, frequency
3880 MHz, audio of 6.8 MHz. The briefing will also be webcast
live via links at:
