The
Space Foundation today named Elliot Pulham
President and Chief Executive Officer.

The Space Foundation, headquartered in Colorado
Springs, is a national non-profit organization
dedicated to advancing space awareness and space
education.

Pulham succeeds Interim President Chuck Zimkas
and Interim CEO, The Honorable Jaime Oaxaca.
Zimkas and Oaxaca have served in their interim
roles since Bill Knudsen left the Space
Foundation last summer to pursue opportunities
in the private sector. Zimkas will return to
his position as Chief Operating Officer, while
Oaxaca will remain Chairman of the Foundation’s

Prior to joining the Foundation, Pulham was
senior manager of public relations, employee
communication and advertising for all space
programs – commercial, civil, and national
security – of The Boeing Company (Seattle,
Washington).

Commenting on the selection, Oaxaca said, “We’re
pleased and honored to have Elliot in his new
role of President and CEO. His experience and
rapport with the team will continue to guide us
into further successes.”

Pulham said, “I’m honored to lead the Space
Foundation team and to continue the reputation
of service to all of our industry and educator
customers. I look forward to the challenges and
continued growth.”

The Space Foundation, established in 1983, hosts
the acclaimed National Space Symposium each
April in Colorado Springs; and the International
Space Symposium in the fall, which will rotate
between Washington, DC; Europe and Asia. The
Foundation also conducts a wide range of media,
