Space Channel Live Coverage of the SpaceX Inspiration4 Launch; SEPTEMBER 15 –STARTING AT 07:30 PM
oin Space Channel today at 7:30 pm EDT for live launch coverage of SpaceX’s Inspiraton4, which will send the first-ever all-civilian crew on a three-day orbital mission 360 miles above the earth (100 miles above the International Space Station), the highest anyone has flown into space since the final space shuttle visit to the Hubble Space Telescope in 2009.
Members of the crew include Jared Isaacman (38), an experienced pilot and founder of Shift4 Payments; Chris Sembroski (41), a data engineer and US Air Force veteran; Sian Proctor (51), geology professor and science communicator; and Hayley Arceneaux (29), a physician’s assistant (and bone cancer survivor) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Live onsite coverage from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center will be conducted by Racheal Nail, Space Channel’s space reporter who has covered high profile launches such as NASA’s Mars rover launch and SpaceX’s historic first commercial launch of astronauts to the space station.
In conjunction, Space Channel’s Jordan Soto will provide commentary from outside the SpaceX Spaceport in Brownsville, Texas, and join Jamie Holmes, who will host a launch viewing discussion with exclusive industry insights and perspectives of the flight’s significance with special guests:
Scott (Scooter) Altman – Former NASA astronaut and veteran of four Space Shuttle missions (the last of which was to service the Hubble Space Telescope).
Frank White – Space Philosopher and author of numerous books on topics ranging from space exploration to climate change to artificial intelligence. His best-known work, The Overview Effect: Space Exploration and Human Evolution, is considered by many to be a seminal work in the field of space exploration.
Dr. Phil Metzger – Planetary physicist formerly with NASA and now with the Planetary Science faculty at the University of Central Florida, developing what he calls “Economic Planetary Science” to help humanity’s expansion beyond Earth.
