Arlington, VA and Malvern, PA (February 27, 2003) – Space Adventures, Ltd., and Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) have partnered to incorporate AGI’s Satellite Tool Kit® (STK) software suite into Space Adventures’ programs, including space training experiences, orbital and sub-orbital flights. Clients participating in future space flights, as well as a number of space training activities, will have the ability to use STK to enhance their experiences.

By incorporating STK’s analysis and visualization capabilities into its sub-orbital and orbital program, Space Adventures intends to expand the flight experience for clients and their families. STK will be used to depict in real time the flight profile of the transport vehicle carrying the client to and from the space. The software will also map the path of the spacecraft, so space visitors and explorers can better orient themselves and assess photo opportunities.

“STK’s 3-D visualizations will help Space Adventures’ clients quickly comprehend the reality of their journey,” says Francesco Linsalata, AGI chief operating officer. “We’re pleased that our software will add to this ultimate experience.”

Eric Anderson, president and CEO of Space Adventures, says, “We are excited to provide our clients with enhanced features and capabilities to fully enjoy their space experiences. STK adds a whole new dimension to our space-related programs.”

STK software packages will be customized to fit each space flight experience available through Space Adventures. Other features of STK that will be used for orbital, sub-orbital, and high-altitude jet flights, include pre- and post-flight 3-D training and visualization, real-time data tracking and analysis, and more.
