(Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) announced today that Arqiva, one of the leading communications infrastructure and media services company, has contracted a C-Band transponder on SES’s NSS-806 satellite for the distribution of premium sports content across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The capacity will be used primarily for distributing English premium sports content in HD to broadcast networks throughout the region.
“Elevating the viewing experience to new levels is our shared goal with Arqiva, and we are very pleased that Arqiva has placed its confidence in us for transmitting HD coverage of high quality sports content,” said Ferdinand Kayser, Chief Commercial Officer at SES. “With this new agreement, Arqiva will be taking advantage of the excellent coverage and technical capabilities of our NSS-806 satellite.”
