On Wednesday, June 23 at 10:00 AM EDT, the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology will be hosting a full committee hearing with NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. The hearing will review the President’s Fiscal Year 2022 Budget Proposal for the National Space and Aeronautics Administration (NASA) and will be the Committee’s first opportunity to meet with Administrator Nelson on the Administration’s proposals and priorities for NASA. The hearing is titled, “A Review of the President’s Fiscal Year 2022 Budget Proposal for NASA.”
“From work on advanced air mobility and supersonic flight, to space missions studying our solar system and universe, to research on the International Space Station, and deep space exploration with humans, NASA’s research and development enterprise is an agent of discovery and innovation, and a catalyst for inspiration,” said Chairwoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX). “NASA is vital to our economic growth, a cutting-edge workforce, and our international partnerships in the peaceful exploration of outer space. I want NASA to succeed and to accomplish the many bold and inspiring missions we are asking it to achieve. This hearing is an important step in examining NASA’s plans, the resources it needs to carry out our nation’s ambitious space and aeronautics agenda, and for preparing our work on NASA reauthorization.”

This hearing will be conducted remotely via Zoom video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Science, Space, and Technologies Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
