SAIC Awarded Contract By National Aeronautics and Space Administration

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to provide safety, health, environmental, and mission assurance services at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio and the Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. The single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a 19-month base period of performance, three 12-month options, one five-month option, and a total contract value of $56 million, if all options are exercised.

NASA’s Glenn Research Center researches, designs, develops and tests innovative technology for aeronautics and spaceflight. Under the contract, SAIC will provide program development, implementation, compliance assurance, and verification support to ensure the Glenn Research Center is in compliance with NASA policies and federal regulations in operational safety, occupational health, energy and environmental, and aeronautics and space systems mission assurance activities. SAIC subject matter experts will augment NASA’s existing programs and support the planning and implementation of work associated with industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, project management, chemical management, waste management, chemical sampling and analysis, safety, quality assurance, health physics, and related areas.
