Resources for the Future (RFF) announced today that its VALUABLES Consortium is accepting applications for $300,000 in Grants to Assess the Benefits of Satellites (GABS).

GABS will fund research that quantifies the benefits of satellite data when they are used to make decisions that improve socioeconomically meaningful outcomes for people and/or the environment. The VALUABLES Consortium expects to make no more than three awards under GABS, each in the range of $100,000.

First-round proposals for this opportunity are due by 5 p.m. ET on December 5, 2019. Application details can be found at www.rff.org/valuables/gabs.

RFF is offering these grants though its VALUABLES Consortium, a cooperative agreement with NASA to quantify and communicate the socioeconomic benefits of Earth observations.
