Retired NASA Astronaut and World View Chief Pilot Ron Garan Hosts Live Facebok and Reddit Q&A Thursday and Friday

Garan Will Host Live Q&A Sessions on Facebook and Reddit

WHAT: World View’s newly announced Chief Pilot will host a Facebook Q&A to answer questions in real time from fans and space enthusiasts using live video. Viewers will be able to submit their questions to Ron via the comment box and tune in as Ron discusses his new position with World View and his past experiences as a fighter pilot, test pilot, aquanaut, explorer and astronaut.

Additionally, Garan will host an Ask Me Anything session on the popular website Reddit, an online community message board. During this session moderated by a Reddit representative, Ron will be able to interact with community members and answer any of their questions in real time.

WHO: Ron Garan is a retired NASA astronaut and a highly decorated fighter pilot, test pilot, explorer, aquanaut, entrepreneur and humanitarian. He is currently the Chief Pilot for World View, a high-altitude flight provider bringing technology, sensors and eventually passengers to the edge of space.

Garan’s missions on both the US Space Shuttle and the Russian Soyuz spacecraft took him 71,075,867 miles during 2,842 orbits of Earth with 178 days in space and 27 hours and 3 minutes of EVA (extra-vehicular activity) during four spacewalks. He left NASA to pursue a mission to share a unique perspective of the planet, which he believes can have profound, positive effects on the trajectory of the global society and the world.
