Rep. Calvert to Discuss NASA Issues on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal

WHAT: Congressman Ken Calvert will appear on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal” to discuss NASA funding and space exploration issues. Calvert is Chairman of the House Science Committee Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics which oversees NASA and is responsible for drafting NASA authorization legislation. The House will be considering H.R. 5672, the Science, Department of State, Justice and Commerce, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year (FY) 2007 on Tuesday and Wednesday. NASA funding is included in the bill. Congressman Calvert has been a strong proponent of ensuring that NASA receives appropriations at the level specified in the 2005 NASA Authorization Act.
