Rep. Calvert, NASA Administrator, Stadd confirm participation at Florida Space 2006

The Honorable Ken Calvert, U.S. House of Representatives; NASA Administrator The Honorable Dr. Michael D. Griffin; and Mr. Courtney A. Stadd, founder and president, Capitol Solutions, will be featured speakers at the annual Florida Space conference. The conference takes place Dec. 5-7, 2006, at the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando, Fla. Florida Space is the leading event serving Florida’s diverse space community and also draws leaders and participants from government, Washington, D.C., and the space sector nationwide.

Florida Space 2006 features an expanded program and the addition of an exhibit center. In its second year, the conference will focus on Florida’s space economy by addressing the challenges facing the existing aerospace industry and highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit and enterprises that will ensure a bright future across Florida’s civil, commercial, and national security space sectors. The impact of recommendations made by the Governor’s Commission on the Future of Space and Aeronautics, NASA’s view of solutions and opportunities available for the journey to the Moon and Mars, the development of new strategies for handling future workforce issues, and the changes taking place in the education and research arenas are among the topics to be addressed.
