Raytheon Wins $183 Million Information Technology Services Task Order to Support NASA Langley Research Center

Raytheon Company
has been selected to provide information technology (IT) services to the
National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Langley Research
Center, under the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Federal
Technology Service Millennia contract. This task order is valued at $183
million and includes a one-year base period and seven one-year options.

Under the award, Raytheon has teamed with NCI Information Systems, Inc.;
Analytical Services and Materials; Aerospace Computing, Inc.; and the Software
Factory to provide IT services for business and scientific applications. The
range of technical support includes high-performance computing, visualization,
web-enabled applications development, hardware/software maintenance, systems
administration and database design. Work under the contract will be performed
in Hampton, Va.

This is the fourth GSA task order that Raytheon has been awarded under
Millennia. Raytheon was awarded a $228 million IT services task order with the
Department of Energy, a $27.5 million network management and technology
integration support task order with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in
Greenbelt, Md., and a $4.4 million Military Airspace Management System
operations task order with Tinker AFB, Okla.

The General Services Administration’s Federal Technology Service (FTS)
Millennia contract may be used by all agencies and departments of the Federal
government, including every executive department and branch of the military
service and more than 50 independent federal agencies. This multiple award,
indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is designed to support
large, long-term programs. Raytheon is one of 11 FTS Millennia contractors
providing IT services in software engineering, communications and systems
integration. Raytheon was the only awardee on the four task orders mentioned
in this release.
