Together with the family-owned logistics company Zeitfracht, Planetary Transportation Systems, in short PTS, has formed an alliance to advance commercial space exploration.

As the first industrial supporter of Project “Major Tom”, Zeitfracht enables PTS to take its development, which started with the ALINA spacecraft, to a new level for commercial space exploration. Since 2008, the private Berlin-based space company PTS has been pursuing the goal of making private spaceflight from Europe possible and freely accessible to all.

“The newly formed alliance with Zeitfracht enables us to implement three exciting projects which will soon result in their own space missions. Here our clear goal is that space travel is for everyone and we want to create the possibility that, above all, also normal consumers can directly participate in the exploration of space.” – André Radloff, Chief Executive Officer of Planetary Transportation Systems.

PTS’s new missions, which run under the code name “Major Tom“, will gradually move from Earth out into the solar system. This is where PTS’s strong expertise in avionics, i.e., electronics and software for spacecraft, comes into play. An important goal of these missions is the provision of infrastructure and services in space, which will open up new business areas and make future space missions easier and more cost-effective. Further details on the planned missions, their exact destinations in the solar system and other commercial partners will be announced by PTS in the coming months.

In the context of this alliance and further development of PTS technology, the Berlin-based startup is constantly looking for reinforcements. Please send speculative applications and inquiries to jobs@pts.space
