Progress Cargo Ship Carrying Two UrtheCast Cameras Successfully Docks With ISS

UrtheCast Corp. (TSX:UR) (‘UrtheCast’ or ‘the Company’) is very pleased to announce that, as of Nov. 29, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. CST, the Progress 53P cargo ship carrying UrtheCast’s two cameras has successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS).

Travelling aboard a Soyuz rocket, UrtheCast’s cameras — the world’s first 1-Metre Class, high-resolution Earth video camera and one medium-resolution imaging camera — were successfully launched from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome on Monday, Nov. 25.

“For the second time in a week, UrtheCast has reached a highly significant milestone,” explained co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Scott Larson. “Our team of engineers couldn’t be more satisfied with how our international team and close partners have come together to make the camera launch, flight, and docking a success. We now look forward to the cameras’ installation and calibration.”

The Company expects to update the market with further progress regarding the cameras’ installation as it occurs.
