Planet Joins the CSCA

The Canadian Space Commerce Association (CSCA), Canada’s national space industry association, is pleased to announce that Planet, a space and analytics company, has joined the CSCA.

“The CSCA is delighted to welcome Planet as a member and proud to be working with this world-class organization.” said CEO of CSCA, Michelle Mendes. “Planet is leading the industry in this area, and shares our common objective, to expand the Canadian space economy.”

Planet’s Director of Launch & Regulatory Affairs, Mike Safyan, said, “We are excited to play a more active role in Canada’s space industry via the CSCA and in conjunction with its member organizations. Canada has long been an important partner in Planet’s success, and that relationship is only growing.”

Planet Labs Geomatics Corp., located in Lethbridge, Alberta, is Planet’s Canadian HQ and is continuing its legacy of leading the Geomatics & Earth Observation community in Canada for more than 15 years. At the same time, Planet is expanding its Canadian footprint this year with a newly built ground station site in Inuvik, Northwest Territories.
