Orbital ATK Rolls Out At International Defense Exposition

Orbital ATK, Inc. (NYSE: OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, will feature a wide range of the company’s defense products and advanced capabilities as an exhibitor during IDEX. IDEX takes place biennially at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, February 22-26, 2015. The Orbital ATK display is located at stand 03-A06.

Orbital ATK was recently formed by the merger of Orbital Sciences Corporation and the aerospace and defense businesses of Alliant Techsystems (ATK). IDEX 2015 is the first international show for the company under the name Orbital ATK. Orbital ATK serves several U.S. allies in the region with defense products and services, making IDEX an important place to debut the new company identity.

IDEX 2015 provides Orbital ATK the opportunity to highlight products and services available to U.S.-allied nations seeking a sovereign defense capability encompassing ground, air, sea and space. These include precision guidance for artillery and mortars; Hatchet weapon system; small-, medium- and large-caliber ammunition on multiple weapons platforms; and medium-caliber cannons available in 30mm and 40mm configurations. Additionally, attendees can meet with Orbital ATK representatives to learn more about the company’s integrated logistics, support and training offerings for medium-caliber cannons.

Orbital ATK also will feature the company’s capabilities in managing ammunition facilities and creating opportunities for international partners to develop sovereign defense industrial capabilities.

Also on display is Orbital ATK’s ability to upgrade and integrate offensive and defense air capabilities with the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM), ShotFinder Acoustic Threat Warning System and the AAR-47 Missile Warning System. Additionally, details are available on the company’s innovative line of customized gunships that provide allied nations with next generation intelligence; surveillance and reconnaissance platforms; and are outfitted with a variety of weapon systems.

Orbital ATK has expanded the continuum of its air, land and sea defense capabilities displays to include space through the exhibition of its line of satellite platforms. Specific products on display at IDEX 2015 include Orbital ATK’s GEOStar-2 and GEOStar-3 geostationary Earth-orbit communications satellite platforms, as well as the company’s medium-, small- and microsatellite-class systems primarily used in low-Earth orbit, as well as other specialized space system architectures. These satellite platforms support a wide variety of customer missions in the defense and intelligence, scientific, remote sensing, hosted payloads and commercial communications markets. The exhibit also features ViviSat’s Mission Extension Vehicle, which provides in-orbit satellite life extension service to virtually all geostationary satellites.?
