New Skies Satellites Press Statement

In response to the news story carried by Reuters today, New Skies Satellites N.V. (AEX, NYSE:NSK) stated:

New Skies did explore, with the assistance of Goldman Sachs, a possible role for the company in connection with the recently concluded auction of PanAmSat Corp. The company is continuing to consider various alternatives available to it. However, there can be no assurance that the company’s consideration of such alternatives will result in any extraordinary transaction. The company does not intend to comment further on this matter.
