New IAF Bureau elected during 2012 IAF General Assembly

Members of the 2012-2014 IAF Bureau were elected during the 2012 IAF General Assembly, gathered at the 63rd International Astronautical Congress in Naples, Italy.
 
The Bureau, a governance body of the Federation, is in charge of driving the direction of the Federation, setting future priority areas of work and ensuring its activities are consistent with its mission and objectives.
 
Succeeding former IAF President Berndt Feuerbacher is Kiyoshi Higuchi, Vice-President of JAXA, who will head the Federation until 2014.
 
From the 20 candidacies for IAF Vice-Presidents received, the General Assembly elected

– IAF Vice-President for Outreach and Societies
Andrea Boese, Strategy and International Relations, European Space Policy and Special Affairs, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), Germany

– IAF Vice-President for Global Membership Development
Ray Johnson, Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, Lockheed Martin Corporation, United States

– IAF Vice-President for Industry Relations
Jean-Yves Le Gall, Chairman and CEO, Arianespace, France

– IAF Vice-President for Financial Matters
Jan Kolar, Director, Czech Space Office, Czech Republic

– IAF Vice-President for International Organisations Relations and Developing Countries
Sergey Saveliev, Deputy Head, Russian Federation Space Agency (Roscosmos), Russia

Gathering a global team of professionals from both space agencies and industry, the Bureau will meet for the first time during the IAF Spring Meetings in March 2013 in Paris, France.
