Huge Fireball Dazzles Midwest — A brilliant fireball attracted stares
across the eastern U.S. Tuesday night. It could be a taste of things to
come when the Leonids meteor shower peaks late Wednesday night and
Thursday morning. This story includes CCD video of Leonid meteors
recorded on November 16 as well as new animations of Earth plunging through

Leonids Astrobiology Mission off to a Good Start — Astrobiologists began
their first airborne observations to study the Leonid meteors on Nov. 16,
as the Earth began to enter the debris train left by comet
