NASA Schedules Genesis Missions Clean-Room Media Opportunity

Scientists and technicians from NASA’s Genesis Project
are available Thursday at 1 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. MDT) to answer
questions about the status of mission science objectives.

The media opportunity is at the specially constructed clean
room at the U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah.
Media may shoot b-roll of clean room activities, including
examples of recovered Genesis collector materials. To
participate reporters should call Paula Nicholson at DPG at:
435/831-3409 for access information. For Genesis mission
questions, call NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Media
Relations at: 818/354-5011.

A video file with footage of Genesis clean room activities
will air on NASA TV during the regular feed scheduled for 3
p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight EDT on September 30. NASA
TV is available on the Web and via satellite in the
continental U.S. on AMC-6, Transponder 9C, C-Band, at 72
degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz.
Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.
In Alaska and Hawaii, NASA TV is available on AMC-7,
Transponder 18C, C-Band, at 137 degrees west longitude. The
frequency is 4060.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio
is monaural at 6.80 MHz.
