PTC , the
product development company(TM), today announced that the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration (NASA) is expanding its implementation of PTC’s
award-winning Pro/ENGINEER® design software and services with a new multi-
million dollar, multi-year order. The software was shipped during PTC’s
fourth fiscal quarter (ended September 30, 2002). This follow-on order is
further evidence of NASA’s commitment to PTC Product Lifecycle Management
(PLM) solutions. In addition to previous Pro/ENGINEER deployments, the
administration has also already implemented PTC’s Windchill® software
solutions, realizing a sizable reduction in product cycle times and costs,
while experiencing improved access and control over product information.

“NASA puts ‘products first’, placing a heavy emphasis on products and
especially product quality,” said Paul Cunningham, executive vice president,
Worldwide Sales, PTC. “With safety a critical factor, NASA must maintain the
highest possible quality standards while keeping budgets under tight control.
PTC provides our customers with a detailed road map on how to do this.”

NASA uses Pro/ENGINEER® software to integrate and automate the majority
of the product development processes throughout its installations nationwide
including: Johnson Space Center, Ames Research Center, Langely Research
Center, Kennedy Space Center, Dryden Flight Research Center, Goddard Space
Flight Center, Stennis Space Center, and Glenn Research Center.
