NASA Chief Technologist to Visit Glenn, Meet with Media

CLEVELAND — NASA Chief Technologist Bobby Braun will hold a media roundtable at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 to discuss NASA’s innovation and technology plans and the important role that NASA’s Glenn Research Center will play in future aeronautics and space exploration programs.

At 44, Braun is one of the youngest senior leaders at NASA Headquarters. As NASA’s Chief Technologist, Braun serves as the principal advisor and advocate on matters concerning agency-wide technology policy and programs. He directly manages NASA’s space technology programs and coordinates technology investments across the agency.

Before coming to Washington in February of this year, Braun taught aerospace engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta for the past seven years. Prior to becoming a professor, Braun worked for 15 years as a researcher and engineer on Mars missions at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va.
