NASA Briefing to Discuss Latest Space Station Events

Recent activities involving the Expedition Three crew
aboard the International Space Station and a look ahead to
upcoming work for the space-faring residents will be the
subjects of an Expedition Mission Status Briefing.

The briefing is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Nov. 1,
from NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. The event will
be broadcast on NASA Television with multi-center question-
and-answer capability.

Participants include:

* Mark Ferring, International Space Station Lead Stage
Flight Director

* Melissa Gard, Expedition Three Increment Manager

* Glenda Laws, Expedition Three EVA Officer

* John Uri, Expedition Three Increment Scientist

Expedition Three Commander Frank Culbertson, Pilot Vladimir
Dezhurov and Flight Engineer Mikhail Tyurin are heading into
the final month of their four-month mission aboard the
orbiting science platform, preparing for the arrival of a new
Russian Progress supply spacecraft. Their replacements, the
Expedition Four crew, are scheduled to be launched in late
November aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour on the STS-108
mission.

NASA TV is available on GE-2, Transponder 9C at 85 degrees
West longitude, vertical polarization, with a frequency of
3880 MHz, and audio of 6.8 MHz.
