NASA, BOEING SIGN ISS ENGINEERING SUPPORT CONTRACT
MODIFICATION

NASA yesterday signed a contract modification with the Boeing Company, Houston, Texas, to supply
additional engineering support for the International Space Station.

This modification increases the prime contract held by Boeing Information, Space and Defense Systems,
by $477.9 million. The modification covers an incremental addition, as planned, of continued engineering
support through Fiscal Year 2001 for sustaining engineering, post-production support and multi-element
integration testing at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

Additionally, technical definition of changes and other engineering support – as required- to support
station objectives will be covered. Work will be performed at various Boeing facilities in Huntington
Beach, CA; Canoga Park, CA; Huntsville, AL; Orlando, FL; Houston, TX; and at various subcontractor
facilities located throughout the United States.

Boeing was awarded the eight-year prime contract for the construction and integration of the station in
1995.
