NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, Solar System Division, Washington, selected Space Environment Technologies, Pasadena, Calif., for a grant to support the Planetary Atmospheres Program.

The program supports scientific investigations that contribute to the understanding of the origins and evolution of the atmospheres of planets, their satellites and of comets. Its broad objectives include the determination of compositions, dynamics, and chemical behaviors of planetary atmospheres. The maximum grant value is $404,000.

The research also supports the Vision for Space Exploration, NASA’s long- term plan to return astronauts to the moon and extend exploration to Mars and beyond.
