MOON EXPLORATION COMPANY APPOINTS CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
BETHPAGE, N.Y. – Applied Space Resources, Inc. (ASR) is pleased to announce that Dallas Bienhoff has joined the commercial space exploration and development company as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President-Engineering. Mr. Bienhoff, Chief Engineer for the International Space Station (ISS) Crew Return Vehicle, has 25 years of aerospace engineering experience, including 17 years working on reusable space systems. He has also been a Systems Engineer on the X-33 spacecraft and co-lead the integration team for the ISS Zarya module with NASA. Mr. Bienhoff has a Master of Science in Engineering from California State University – Northridge.
As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Bienhoff will be responsible for the development of the Lunar Retriever spacecraft, ASR’s lunar sample return mission.

He’s exactly the right person joining us at the right time, as we take the next step to a return to the Moon.”

Applied Space Resources is developing the world’s first commercial lunar mission. In 2002, the Lunar Retriever spacecraft will land at Mare Nectaris, an unexplored region of the Moon, and collect the first lunar samples for return to the Earth in over a quarter century. ASR will ensure mission profitability and promote awareness of the commercial potential of space by making part of the sample available to consumers and creating other mission-related commercial opportunities.
