Mission STS-97 marks Canadian Space Agency
Astronaut Marc Garneau’s third flight to space. His mission will consist in
deploying solar panels, which will be the main source of power for the
International Space Station.

The Terminal Countdown Rehearsal (TCDT) for the launch of Space Shuttle
Endeavour will take place on November 7, 2000 at the Kennedy Space Center in
Florida. It will be broadcast on NASA TV during regularly scheduled NASA
Video File and will also be replayed at various times later in the day. The
purpose of the TCDT is for crew members to simulate the steps leading to the
launch. During this event, media on-site will have the opportunity to ask
questions to the crew as well as take pictures of the STS-97 crew members,
including Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Marc Garneau.

Canadian media who are interested in viewing the TCDT may do so by logging
on to the NASA TV satellite on GE-2, Transponder 9C at 85 degrees West
longitude, vertical polarisation, with a frequency of 3,880 Mhz and audio of
6.8 Mhz.
