MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.
announced today that a new customer has agreed to purchase RADARSAT
data.

They’ll obtain the data from MDA’s RADARSAT International subsidiary for
land use mapping and monitoring purposes. MDA’s Information Systems Group
played a key role in building the customer’s ground station last year.

MDA’s Phil Gray, President of RADARSAT International, said: “We continue
to develop new markets for our land information products. This agreement is an
example of the continuing and growing demand for RADARSAT data.”

The direct reception agreement announced today is worth $1.3 million
(CDN) in the first year, with a one-year renewal option
