MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has received an $8.86 million (CAD) contract amendment from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to provide additional logistics and sustaining engineering for the Mobile Servicing System (MSS).

As the International Space Station continues to expand and free-flying spacecraft begin regular re-supply missions to the orbital outpost, the MSS will play an increasingly critical role in berthing and logistical operations.

The MSS, which includes Canadarm2, ‘Dextre’ and a Mobile Base System, was developed by MDA under contract to the CSA as Canada’s contribution to the International Space Station.
