MDA Appoints Amy MacLeod as Vice President of Corporate Communications

MDA Ltd. (TSX:MDA), a leading provider of advanced technology and services to the rapidly-expanding global space industry, today announced the appointment of Amy MacLeod as Vice President of Corporate Communications. In this newly created role, Ms. MacLeod joins the MDA executive team with a mandate to elevate the MDA brand globally as the company charts a path for growth.

Ms. MacLeod brings to the role more than two decades of business communications experience in the technology and defence sectors and a strong track record of shaping complex business, financial, and technical developments into global strategic communications and corporate programs.

Most recently, Ms. MacLeod served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications at Seaspan Shipyards, one of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy partners. Prior to Seaspan, Amy was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Mitel Networks during a period of strategic business transformation that saw the company double in size. She has also held a series of senior communications roles at General Dynamics Canada, Alcatel-Lucent, and Newbridge Networks.

Ms. MacLeod has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo. She is based in Ottawa where she serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries and the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation.
