Overview.

Space Investment Summit 5 (SIS-5) will continue the series of forums hosting entrepreneurs and investors in a frank dialogue about the best investment opportunities in new space-related ventures. The summit comes at an exciting time for space-related business, with space startups like Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic and Elon Musk’s SpaceX nearing commercial operations, while space-related ventures like Google Earth and Garmin expand to reach global markets.

Program.

Promoting innovation in space-related commerce worldwide, SIS-5 offers leading seed and early stage investors, space-related entrepreneurs, established companies, government, academia, and non-profit organizations a unique opportunity to expand networks, join peer-to-peer discussions, and assess pre-screened entrepreneurial business plans from companies with significant growth potential. The summit series helps investors gain knowledge that might guide future investment decisions. Entrepreneurs gain from an increased investor interest in their efforts and established companies benefit by promoting the development of new opportunities for partnership with entrepreneurial companies.

The Summit welcomes as its keynote speaker, Steve Jurvetson, Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), a leading venture capital firm with affiliate offices around the world. Mr. Jurvetson was the founding VC investor in Hotmail and has earned the reputation as a high-tech visionary and alpha venture capitalist in the Silicon Valley. DFJ has been proud to back over 400 companies across many sectors, including Skype (acquired by EBAY). http://www.dfj.com. Entrepreneurial Business Plans.
