Luminant Worldwide Corporation , a leading e-business services
firm, has teamed with United Space Alliance (USA), one of the world’s leading
space operations companies, and NASA, to provide information to potential
customers regarding sending payloads into space, via the Space Shuttle.

As a result, a state-of-the-art multimedia Web-enabled CD-ROM (Web-ROM)
was created, providing detailed information regarding the Space Shuttle’s
payload program, including its capabilities, benefits and procedures for
transporting goods.
The sophisticated communications tool presents
information via narration, video, 3-D animation, panoramic virtual reality and
live connections to the Internet, offering continually updated specifics
regarding the program and its features.

The Web-ROM will be distributed to potential payload clients, such as
research centers, universities and companies interested in space
transportation.
Its contents present a high-level overview of the payload
program — offering an inside look at methods used to monitor payloads,
preparation and flying procedures, payload storage options inside the shuttle
and more.

Luminant’s relationship with USA and NASA is another example of the
Company’s ability to develop long-term client relationships.
The Company has
worked with USA on numerous projects during the past three years, according to
John Purdy, Luminant delivery principal.

“We have helped create several easy-to-understand, yet highly compelling
communications pieces,” Purdy said.
According to USA, the “Space Shuttle
Payload Information Source,” as the Web-ROM is called, will be available for
distribution to customers in the first half of 2001.
