Loral Skynet donates satellite service to support disaster relief telethon

Loral Skynet, a subsidiary of Loral
Space & Communications (NYSE: LOR), today announced that it will provide
free transponder capacity on its Telstar 4 and Telstar 5 satellites to the
ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX broadcasting networks for their joint telethon,
America: A Tribute to Heroes, on Friday, September 21st. Beginning at 9 p.m.
EDT, the two-hour telethon will raise money for individuals and families who
have suffered losses in the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United
States.

Cable networks that will also carry the telethon include BET, Comedy
Central, Court TV, Discovery, E!, Fox Family, FX, HBO, Lifetime, MTV, PAX,
SHOWTIME, Sundance Channel, Telemundo, TLC, TNN, TNT, Univision, and VH-1,
as well as PBS, The WB and UPN.

All funds raised from this program will go to the relief efforts in New
York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania with the networks and performers
donating their time and resources. For additional information about this
