Lockheed Martin Elects E.C. ‘Pete’ Aldridge to Board of Directors

E.C. “Pete” Aldridge, Jr.
has been elected to the Lockheed Martin Board of Directors,
effective June 26th. Mr. Aldridge, 64, retired from government service in
May.

Aldridge is the former Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition,
Technology, and Logistics. In this position, he was responsible for all
matters relating to U.S. Department of Defense acquisition, research and
development, advanced technology, international programs, and the industrial
base. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Aldridge served as CEO of the Aerospace
Corporation, president of McDonnell Douglas Electronic Systems, Secretary of
the Air Force, and numerous other prestigious positions within the Department
of Defense.

Aldridge holds a B.S. degree from Texas A&M University and an M.S. from
Georgia Tech, both in aeronautical engineering.

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, Lockheed Martin employs about 125,000
people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design,
development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems,
products and services. The Corporation reported 2002 sales of $26.6 billion.
