Smarter Shows (www.smartershows.com) launches Spacecraft Technology Expo 2012 – a new global exhibition dedicated to spacecraft manufacture and operation. The three-day event will feature key players in the industry and offer a unique insight into spaceflight, space tourism and satellites. Visitors to the show will gain a taste of the future by seeing exhibits in its Human Spaceflight Park which include a space suit provided by North Hollywood company Orbital Outfitters, and seen for the first time on US soil, a 1:1 scale model of XCOR Aerospace’s Lynx Suborbital vehicle.

The Human Spaceflight Park will be a highly visible and interactive platform showcasing models, pioneering technologies and cutting edge vehicles. By bringing these fundamental elements together, the aim of Spacecraft Technology Expo 2012 is to clearly define the vision, design and reality behind this truly exciting industry.

Other companies exhibiting at the full-line exhibition bringing together global decision makers, include Boeing, SpaceX, Honeywell, L-3 Communications, United Space Alliance, Siemens, ANSYS, Dytran, Wyle, Axon Cable, RAL Space…and many more.

The Spacecraft Technology Conference 2012, a three-day forum covering topics such as: Human Spaceflight, Exploration, Space Life Support, Beyond Earth Orbit, Advanced Satellite Testing and Access to Space, will accompany the exhibition. Confirmed speakers include: George Whitesides – President & CEO of Virgin Galactic, General Eugene Tattini – Deputy Director of NASA JPL, Eric Anderson – Chairman & CEO of Space Adventures, Jeff Greason – CEO of XCOR Aerospace, and Jeffrey Manber – regarded as one of the pioneering commercial space entrepreneurs.

James Reader, CEO of Smarter Shows, said: “Now is the perfect time for this event. California has been a leader in the field of spacecraft design and manufacturing since the beginnings of the Space Age and with Los Angeles being a hub for the New Space industry, this is the perfect place to hold this important event.”
