Jacobs Appoints Barbie S. Bigelow as Chief Information Officer

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today the appointment of Barbie S. Bigelow as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective March 14, 2016.
Bigelow brings to Jacobs more than 30 years of experience in leading business operations, driving innovation and building high performance teams. Her career includes 25 years in executive roles at Lockheed Martin Corporation and IBM. She was also SVP & CIO at TASC, a professional engineering services firm.

Most recently Bigelow provided executive leadership and consulting in cybersecurity and digital strategy to Fortune 500 and privately held organizations.

In her new role Bigelow oversees all aspects of Jacobs Information Technology strategy. A key focus of the role is to work closely with the company’s Executive Leadership Team to ensure optimal IT support for Jacobs’ global operations and align the company’s IT strategy with its global strategy. The role reports directly to Jacobs’ CFO Kevin Berryman.

Commenting on the appointment Berryman said, “Barbie has proven leadership experience in information technology strategy and operations and also a proven track record in business transformation. We are delighted to welcome her to the Jacobs team.”
