The International Space University (ISU) will hold its Summer Session Program (SSP) in Strasbourg and Stuttgart, France and Germany, from June 26 to August 27 2010.

ISU helps to develop future leaders for the world space community by providing interdisciplinary educational programs in an international and intercultural environment. ISU offers its students a unique and comprehensive education covering all aspects of space programs and enterprises- space science, space engineering, systems engineering, space policy and law, business and management and space and society.

Each summer ISU offers and intense 9-week course designed for post-graduate university students and/or professionals of all disciplines. The location changes annually, making it a unique educational concept. Courses cover principal aspects, both technical and non-technical, related to space, extending to technologies, physical science, satellite applications as well as life sciences, policy management and social sciences.

With the choice of both Strasbourg and Stuttgart as host cities for SSP 2010, this will be the first time that this prestigious program will take place in two different countries in the same summer.

“France and Germany have been active partners with ISU since its founding,” said University President Dr. Michael K. Simpson. “We are particularly pleased that our students will benefit from this latest innovation in that long partnership.”

ISU’s Dean, Walter Peeters also noted the close partnerships existing between the school and the Universities of Strasbourg and Stuttgart. “Facilitated by formal agreements, many of ISU’s graduates have gone on to complete Doctoral studies in those partner Universities,” Dr. Peeters added.

Throughout the Summer Session Program, ISU will hold panel sessions welcoming leaders and experts from governments, space industries, space agencies as well as universities and research institutions. These experts from around the globe will discuss important topics in aerospace and answer the students’ and the general public’s questions. ISU is also offering the excitement of space and its applications while having fun next summer in both Strasbourg and Stuttgart!
