COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 16, 2004) The Space Foundation announced today that Perspective Book’s “I Am A Space Shuttle, I LOVE TO FLY” has been officially recognized as a Certified Space Imagination Product.

Perspective Books publishes books that stir the imaginations of children. “The space program has a positive impact on our daily lives,” said publisher and author Becky Cross. “Our desire to explore life beyond our own planet has pushed us to create amazing machines to help us along that journey.

“I Am A Space Shuttle, I LOVE TO FLY!” captures the essence of the ingenuity and engineering that it takes to make a Space Shuttle fly and wraps it in a collection of breathtaking images that follow a Space Shuttle orbiter from touchdown to touchdown liftoff to landing,” added Cross. “Children have a natural ability to look at life with their eyes wide open. This book seeks to fill those eyes with amazing and exciting information.”

Perspective Books is the flagship sponsor for The IGNITE Foundation, Inc., a national K-12, curriculum-based, education enrichment program. IGNITE is an acronym for Innovative Ground Networking In Technology Education. A percentage of book sales funds growth of the Foundation. Perspective Books will also make a cash donation to The Starlight Children’s Foundation whose programs provide cheer and relief to seriously ill children and those who love them.
