Hyshot experiment launched

The Hyshot experiment, attempting the world’s first flight test of
supersonic combustion, was launched at Woomera, north of Adelaide at
approximately 1300 local time.

An international team of researchers, being led by The University of
Queensland, is presently analysing data from the experiment.

Project leader Dr Allan Paull says the data is inconclusive, and he will
be in a better position to make a statement about the experiment tomorrow.
