GMV Ground Systems Technology Selected for 40 Percent of 2010 Commercial

Rockville, Md.–GMV today announced in the U.S. that it is providing ground systems technology for 40 percent of the world’s commercial telecommunications satellites whose launch is scheduled for 2010. The announcement further underscores GMV’s 25 years of industry experience as the leading supplier of satellite ground systems in the world.
“More than 155 commercial telecommunications satellites have used GMV technology for ground control operations support, and that number is growing with recent new contracts,” said Theresa Beech, general manager and vice president of business development for GMV. “We’re pleased to provide our satellite ground systems technology and expertise to a client roster that includes most major commercial satellite operators, as well as many small and medium-sized operators from around the world.”

A total of 21 satellites using GMV technology are scheduled for launch this year, including satellites from operators of the highest level such as Eutelsat, SES Astra, Arabsat, Nilesat, Globalstar, Hispasat, ESA and NASA.
