Space Imaging, the world’s leading
provider of Earth imagery and related services, announced today the
appointment of Gene Colabatistto to president of Solutions. Colabatistto,
president of SPOT Image Corporation of Chantilly, Va., will succeed Kass
Green, current president of Solutions, on Sept. 3. Green will continue to
serve in an executive role during a lengthy transition period and thereafter
will assist Space Imaging with strategic planning.

“Gene’s contributions to the remote sensing industry have been enormous,”
said John Copple, CEO of Space Imaging. “He’s a dynamic and results-oriented
leader who has run a multi-million dollar corporation. He will be an
incredible asset to our customers, employees, investors, and the remote
sensing community.”

“I am extremely pleased that Gene has accepted this position,” said Green.
“He has a background in satellite imagery as well as value-added services.
It’s a perfect combination. I can’t think of anyone better to continue to
expand Space Imaging’s leadership in the industry.”

Prior to SPOT Image, Colabatistto served as vice president of Information
Systems at Veridian/Pacific-Sierra Research Corporation and was also a
division director and a program manager at Pacific-Sierra Research.
Colabatistto also served in the Marine Corps. He holds a bachelor of science
degree in Aerospace Engineering, a master of science degree in Systems
Management and a master of science in Electrical Engineering.

“I’m very excited about my move to Space Imaging and to Denver,” said
Colabatistto. “With the amazing quality of the IKONOS satellite and great
customer service, Space Imaging has distinguished itself as the cornerstone of
the new high-resolution Earth imagery industry. We intend to continue to
provide our customers a full suite of services including imagery, value-added
products, training and other geospatial services.”

“Kass has made monumental contributions to Space Imaging, increasing its
value-added capabilities and developing a solutions paradigm,” said Copple.
“Gene Colabatistto has a solid foundation and reputation on which to build our
Solutions line of business.” Green joined Space Imaging in March 2000 when
her company, Pacific Meridian Resources, was acquired by Space Imaging.
