Reston, Virginia – May 22, 2013: There is a Big Game in every sport, but the BIG GAME of the future is called, “Floatball”. What is Floatball? Floatball is a new electrifying, futuristic game whose concept was developed by former 4-time NFL Pro-Bowl linebacker and CEO of JAKA Consulting Group, Ken Harvey; and JAKA President, Allen Herbert, an aerospace engineer.

To introduce the creation of Floatball to the world, along with the intricacies of the game, Harvey and Herbert are creating a graphic novel that will give you a bird’s eye view of this revolutionary sport. The story written by Ken and scientifically verified by Allen, will take the reader on a journey through a new futuristic sport, the dynamics of Floatball. What’s exciting about Floatball is that it can now be played on earth, in a Zero Gravity plane, in water and on land.

The Floatball novel will introduce adolescents of the techie generation; young adults of the ” X” generation; and the baby-boomers to a game that is played in space, something that their grand- and great-grand parents thought they would never see in their lifetime. The novel will expand the reader’s imagination taking them to a space-age realm that is well within their reach due to the advent of innovative space technology. Floatball can be translated in to all languages and adapted to all cultures, so that athletes and viewers worldwide will understand the game.

“I always dreamed of playing in the Big Game, but I never made it,” said Ken, and “My dream of becoming an astronaut in space, hasn’t occurred yet,” said Allen, but instead of them wallowing in self-pity they did something about it and created a game that is fun, ahead of its time, and involves STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). We wanted to teach young people about dreaming beyond their confines, like people did while watching Star Trek or other science fiction programs.

Futron Corporation, an aerospace consulting firm, forecast in their publication, “Space Tourism Market Study, dated October 2002,” stated, “Suborbital space travel is a promising market and that by 2021, over 15,000 passengers could be flying annually, representing revenues in excess of US$700 million and orbital space travel would represent additional revenues in excess of US$300 million.”

The entrepreneurial partners dream that Floatball will become a game for the entire world’s population to compete against one another. It will have no confining country boarders or gender, with the only restrictions – ones imagination in zero gravity.
