EchoStar VIII Satellite Launch Rescheduled

The launch of
EchoStar VIII, a high-powered direct broadcast satellite for EchoStar
Communications Corporation , has been postponed due to
weather.

The launch has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 1:15
a.m. EDT from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The satellite was originally scheduled to launch from Baikonur on
Aug. 20.

The launch delay will not result in any interruption to DISH
Network’s satellite TV service.
