EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS) supports the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) action today adopting final rules in its satellite-licensing reform proceeding.

“We welcome yesterday’s Part 25 Report and Order as the FCC continues to streamline its satellite licensing rules,” said Dean A. Manson, EchoStar’s executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. “EchoStar looks forward to working with the FCC as it moves forward with implementation of these rules, which should provide greater certainty for satellite operators.”

The FCC’s rules and regulations are located in Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); Part 25 governs licensing and operation of space stations and earth stations.
