EADS to sponsor opening of International Space Symposium

WASHINGTON (October 12, 2001) – EADS, the
European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company,
and its Space Systems Division will sponsor the
opening luncheon at the International Space
Symposium, according to conference officials.
The International Space Symposium, which takes
place October 29-31 at the Reagan Center in
Washington, is presented by the Space Foundation
in association with Space News and the American
Astronautical Society. NASA is the Host
National Space Agency.

The opening luncheon will also serve as the
symposium’s official opening ceremony on Monday,
October 29. The master of ceremonies will be Lon
Rains, editor of Space News, and featured
luncheon speakers include Francois Auque,
executive vice president, Space Systems
Division, EADS and Courtney Stadd, chief of
staff and White House Liaison, NASA Headquarters.

The International Space Symposium is built
around two and one half days of in-depth
discussion, networking and deal-making by a
select group of space industry leaders including
CEO’s, heads of agencies, financiers, managers,
underwriters, customers and regulators. To date,
representatives from 30 nations have agreed to
play a role on the agenda.
