EADS North America Chairman of the Board and CEO Sean O’Keefe to Keynote NVTC Titans Breakfast
The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) today announced that the Honorable Sean O’Keefe, chairman of the board and CEO of EADS North America, will headline the organization’s Titans breakfast event on Feb. 5, 2013, from 7 – 9:15 a.m. at The Ritz Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va. O’Keefe will share his perspectives on government contracting, defense and aerospace investments and how cutting-edge technology supports our nation’s armed forces and first responders.
In 2011, O’Keefe was appointed as chairman of the National Defense Industrial Association, America’s leading industry association promoting the defense industry and national security. In this capacity, O’Keefe testified before the House Armed Services Committee on the impact of sequestration on the U.S. aerospace and defense industry.
In addition to his private sector career, O’Keefe has served four times as a presidential appointee. Most recently, he served as the 10th administrator of NASA from 2001 to 2005. Prior to his appointment as NASA administrator, he served as deputy assistant to the president and deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget under President George W. Bush. O’Keefe also served President George H. W. Bush as the 69th secretary of the Navy in 1992-93 and previously as comptroller and CFO of the Department of Defense.
