Dragonfly Aerospace Award Program
South Africa, June 2, 2021 – Dragonfly Aerospace is pleased to announce an Award Program for young innovative projects, working on Earth observation.
One of the key elements in establishing an Earth observation system is the imaging payload. Dragonfly is prepared to offer one of its compact high resolution Caiman imagers for the upcoming satellite mission which aims to monitor and protect our shared global natural resources.
Conditions of the competition
The Dragonfly Aerospace Award Program will be held from June 1, 2021 to October 31, 2021.
The contest is open to commercial start-ups as well as non-profit, non-commercial organizations, including university programs. The winning team needs to have an existing funded mission that will launch before December 31, 2022.
In order to take part, a team representative must submit an application to award@dragonflyaerospace.com, providing the following information:
- First/Last Name
- Contact info
- Organization
- Mission status: date of launch, launch confirmation
- Mission description
- Existing/potential Partners
- Where the obtained data is planned to be used
- What are the unique insights that your project will gather into the health of the planet and bring the most benefit to the Earth and humanity?
Or fill in the online form.
If sufficient information is provided the applicant will receive an email confirming their eligibility to participate in the Award Program.
The Award jury will consist of the experienced representatives of Dragonfly Aerospace:

The winner will be announced on November 30, 2021.
