DISA’s Bruce Bennett to Deliver Opening Remarks at SIA’s Army Commercial SATCOM Workshop

Washington, D.C. June 27, 2012 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is pleased to announce that Bruce Bennett, Program Executive Officer for Communications, at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) will deliver the opening remarks at SIA’s 2012 Army Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop on Monday, August 13th at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

“SIA is honored to have Mr. Bennett as the opening speaker at SIA’s 2012 Army Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop,” said, Ms. Patricia Cooper, President of SIA. “His views of the Department of Defense’s current requirements and future needs for satellite communications will highlight the important relationship between the satellite industry and the U.S. government. “

This is the fifth year that SIA will hold its Annual Army Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop. This one-day workshop aims to link the Army end-user community with the commercial satellite industry. The workshop explores issues of central importance to the U.S. Army and the commercial companies which supply critical SATCOM capabilities.
